UPCOMING: DIVORCE WITH DIGNITY SUPPORT GROUP
For: Women who are currently in the process of break-up, separation, or divorce.
When: Weekly, on Friday nights, beginning October 2, 2009, 7:30pm – 9pm.
Where: The Enlightened Mind, 409 E. Campbell Ave., Suite 220, Campbell, CA.
What: Although divorce has lost much of its stigma, it has lost none of its sting. In this therapeutic support group, however, we will waste little time complaining. We will focus, instead, on how we can join
-
the 80% of women who DO NOT develop chronic illnesses from the traumatic stress of divorce,
-
the 40% of women who DO remarry successfully,
-
the 50% of women who ARE ABLE to shepherd their children through the process in a such a way that they don’t develop physical, emotional, or relationship problems.
We will explore how we can support each other in going through the often-ugly divorce process with our integrity intact. And we will settle for nothing less than transforming our churning pools of negative emotions into deep reservoirs of spiritual growth.
Cost: $50 per group session, or $200 for 6 sessions.
Leader: Beth Proudfoot, M.S., is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 25 years of experience as a parent educator focusing on stress reduction and conflict resolution and a counselor for children, teens and adults.

Do the siblings in your household have a whole lot of rivalry?
Tired of listening to the bickering?
Frustrated with the role of judge and jury when all you really want is for them to love each other?
Many experts on sibling rivalry say to just let the kids fight it out.
How does that work for you?
How does it work for your kids?
If they haven’t killed each other yet – but sometimes you wish they would – then maybe it’s time to get some answers, and not just about prevention or consequences but about how to get down with the kids, in the moment, while they’re in conflict, and help them to solve problems effectively and peacefully all by themselves.
A two-year-old can do it. You can, too.
Beth Proudfoot provides easy-to-implement solutions and encouraging advice as a parent educator, coach, consultant, and mentor. This can come in the form of:
* conference keynote presentations and workshops
* parent-ed seminars at schools, daycares, churches or mom’s club meetings
* preschool and religion-school consultations or staff in-service trainings
* individual parent coaching or adult psychotherapy at office in Los Gatos
* long term “play therapy” for children who have experienced the trauma of loss or abuse
